The School of Economics of Peking University
The School of Economics of Peking University was established in 1985. Its predecessor is the Department of Economics of Peking University, established in 1912, the first economics faculty among China’s higher education institutions.
The School of Economics is one of the most prominent economics research institutions in China, with a strong faculty consisting of both distinguished senior scholars and a large number of young academic leaders. The school is also one of China’s major institutions for the training of economics professionals.

Policy Research Center for Environment and Economy, Ministry of Environmental Protection
The Policy Research Center for Environment and Economy (PRCEE), affiliated to the Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP), was founded in 1989. PRCEE is a national-level policy research institute for macro decision-making on environmental protection, and its main role is to, on the basis of the needs and strategic planning of MEP, conduct research on environmental management and policy research to provide policy consultation and information service for national decision-making on environmental protection.
There are four divisions and one institute under PRCEE: General Affairs Division, Environmental Strategy Division, Environmental Law Division, Environmental Policy Division, and the Institute for International Environmental Policy (under which there are Multi-lateral Environmental Policy Division, regional Environmental Policy Division, and Bi-lateral Environmental Policy Division). At present, PRCEE has a high quality research team: there are 35 researchers working at PRCEE, among which 6 are senior researchers, 10 are associate researchers, 17 have PhD degree and 12 have Master degree.

China Society for World Trade Organization Studies (CWTO) is the sole nation-wide non-governmental organization of studying WTO and relevant economic and trade issues based in Beijing, China. Formed voluntarily by government officials, experts and scholars, and institutions all over the country engaged in WTO-related affairs, CWTO is one of the authoritative institutions in the country carrying out research, consulting, training, compilation, publication, and international exchange and cooperation activities in connection with WTO.
